Season Wrap Up
The Dinsmore Senior Boys Volleyball team participated in 1A Conference play in Cut Knife on November 9 and 10 and ended up third in their pool. The team beat Asquith on Friday and then lost to Edam and Neilburg on Saturday. The match versus Neilburg for second place in the pool was a heart breaker as the Wildcats lost a close match 24-26; 21-25. Teams moving onto Regionals from this conference were: Cut Knife, Edam and Perdue. During the season the team played in tournaments in Kindersley, Rouleau and Dinsmore; as well as having exhibition matches against Elrose and Beechy. The Wildcats would like to send well wishes to Grade 12 players Robert deCaux, Josh McPhail and Shae Simonson.
FCM's Legal Defense Fund
Dear Ms. Mertz:
I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for your generous contribution to FCM's Legal Defense Fund.
With the voluntary support of members like the Village of Dinsmore, FCM can continue to advance the national legal interests of Canada's local governments.
Your donation supports FCM's legal efforts on a wide variety of issues that impact communities of all sizes. FCM has intervened in a number of precedent-setting cases under federal jurisdiction that are of national importance to our sector — such as rights-of-way management. The Fund is also used by FCM to obtain proactive legal opinions on emerging policy files that have implications for local governments. Thank you once again for your contribution.
Sincerely, Clark Somerville FCM President
